FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

1. What is the purpose of this service?

The first steps to health are making sure: A) You are not currently ingesting large amounts of preservatives and artificial ingredients and chemicals B) You are properly fueling your body C) Your calorie intake matches your activity level. After we formulate a plan of action to get you eating nutritiously, we will incorporate fitness and mindfulness into the equation to create a well-rounded routine that will bring you closer to reaching your health and wellness goals.

2. What kind of changes will we make? At what rate will these changes be made?

We will be altering your activities and food choices to optimize your health and wellness. I am not a believer in shocking the body, I think we should wean off of things and introduce food and activities slowly. I want the client to feel comfortable and have a say so in the speed. If ever something does not really click, it will never be forced on you. People change and grow at their own pace. This is something I fully acknowledge and respect. There were times in my own life where someone showed me something and I was not ready for it, only to rediscover it a year or two later and then I was ready to incorporate it into my life. That is why I want to emphasize this is a CUSTOM plan of action. We will stop for feedback often, we will alter course if we need to, speed up or slow down the progression….we will do whatever it takes to achieve your goals at a pace that is comfortable for you.

3. What do I need to do to start?

The real purpose of this program is to assess your Bio-individuality. There are so many factors that go into health. Relationships, stress, work situation, food choices, environmental exposures, sleep…there are so many factors. That is why completing the questionnaire is vitally important. Something that may be a high risk factor for someone else may be a non-issue for you. I also believe in getting hard numbers as a baseline. I will collect weight, body fat percentage, fitness levels, pulse and blood pressure levels so that we know where your current levels are. I also recommend getting a lipid panel and a CMP (comprehensive metabolic panel) done. This provides a snap shot of what is currently going on in your body. We can find the areas that need improvement and we can make a plan of action to accomplish these improvements.

4. How much does this cost and how do I pay?

Upon completion of the questionnaire and food journal you will be scheduled a free consultation that will lay out a plan of action. I feel as though for the changes we make to become lasting changes, we need to know why we are making the changes. There will be quite a bit of counseling and explaining how the body works, how various nutrients affect the body, how exercise and calorie consumption affect weight, the role of stress etc. In order to achieve this holistic approach it is recommended that we have at least one session per week. The first sessions will focus on the most critical areas affecting your health. Each week we will reassess what is working and what we need to improve. The type of service provided and whether or not it was part of a packaged deal will affect the rate. The pricing will be presented upfront and agreed upon by both parties prior to beginning the plan of action.
